Plot Outline: A working class bigot constantly squabbles with his family over the important issues of the day. Archie Bunker, was a working-class family man who held bigoted, conservative views of the world. Goofs: Continuity: The house in the opening credits (that is presumably supposed to be Archie and Edith Bunker's house) does not come anywhere near matching the studio sets that represent the house in the show. For example, window placement and size is completely wrong, and the sets depict the house as having a large front porch whereas, the house in the credits has only a small stoop.

Quotes:
Archie Bunker: [ playing Monopoly] Mortgage some of your houses there or sell your property.
Blanche Hefner: No, if I do that I'll lose money and I won't collect any rent. You know, he'd lend it to me if he wasn't so cheap.
Barney Hefner: It's not a matter of cheap, it's against the rules of the game.
Blanche Hefner: No, it's cause you're so cheap. After all, rules are made to be broken.
Barney Hefner: Well, you ought to know.

Awards: Won 8 Golden Globes. Another 27 wins & 56 nominations

In my book, All in the Family wins the award for the best television show of the seventies. This show is very historic. It talks about politics and racism and the way things were in the seventies and somewhat teaches you what it was like back then and on top of that it was funny as Hell! Archie Bunker alone will be a character that will really go down in history. As the show went on you really saw how he also learned and not to be such a racist and you just saw him change. Edith wins as thee craziest TV housewife with her high voice and that shes always so happy and full of energy and a pleasure to be around, pretty much the opposite of Archie. You got to have the crazy kids too that are getting on there nerves, but in this case it was the other way around. I love this show and thank goodness TV Land shows the re-runs.
